To have Broad knowledge or ?to Specialize in one specific subject?

When we all studied in school, we often told that we will study hard to prepare for our career. So we chose either science or liberal subjects roughly when participate in the National University Entry Examination( Gao Kao) and continue to further study on our major, maybe language, business, engineering etc. After graduation from university, most of us will find a job relevant to our major for it is easy to distinguish us from those who do not focus on the study. ?When we start to work, here comes many considerations. Do I like the job? Shall I change to other jobs? What if the industry diminish with the development of era?

We make a living from our jobs. But our life is not just work. If we devoted all our lives to one specific subject, it must attract you so that it can support the insistence of keeping doing it. From my opinion, i think to specialize in one specific subject is very important, especially when it can financially support your life. However, to have broad knowledge is very important, too. We are not living just for living. A brilliant man of wide learning is pretty charming while a specialized talent is also very attractive. A wide learning man could be the Master while a specialized talent is called craftsman. They all do their devotion to the society and the country.

a good society shall have its tolerance of varied good things. whether be ?it to have broad knowledge or to specialized in one area, as long as it was active and positive meaning, it depends on people's choice.

As a normal person, I choose to take my major as my job foundation, trying the best to upgrade myself and knowing other industries as much as i can by more reading, more outing and more self-examination. Besides my job, i am also developing myself in cook. i felt relaxed and happy when i cook after day-long working.
