I suffered from serious insomnia the night before last. My heart ached as somebody was gripping it tightly. I even?feared?of sudden death at that moment for I had never had such feelings before. As I was supposed to attend the regular meeting on Monday morning, I determined to ask for a sick leave. LH replied quickly, allowing me to make an adjustment. And I didn't do anything yesterday except relaxation. Thank?goodness, I had a sound and complete sleep last night. I feel much better now.

This Saturday is Mom's birthday, I intended to give her an album with group photos of she and Stone. It takes at least 6 days to create such an album so I stayed up late into 1:40 in the morning in order to finish it promptly. After that, I was still unable to fall asleep, and this led to the insomnia I mentioned before. I know that burning the night oil was not the only reason for my insomnia. Deep in heart I was really anxious because the application season had began. I checked with my schedule book everyday, adapted it for application. No Japanese, little work, all application, from next month.

I regarded the insomnia as sort of an alarm. It reminded me that health was the most essential component no matter what I want to achieve. I imagined that if I died or seriously ill because of anxiety, all the efforts would burst like bubbles. A patient will bring endless troubles to his family members, therefore I must take good care of my health. No such things will be allowed ever since. Offers, work, money, even Stone doesn't compare with my health. Health is my priority, nothing else matches, keep that in mind.

I attended the Zoom meeting with Columbia J-School's admission office faculties and applicants from all over the world. It was quite a fresh experience for me. I've never had meeting with foreigners before, though it may be like everyday lunch for my friends living abroad. I was satisfied with myself that I was able to understand all they talked about. It meant that my listening ability was good enough. They explained several key components of the applying process, the date, requirements, scholarships and so on. ?Actually, nothing they had mentioned was not on the application page of their website. I had fully acquired with?all these information before the meeting. I didn't miss anything vital when I studied it by myself. All I need next is to complete the details on time.
