John Boitnott，在《Entrepreneur》中提出15個讓你漲薪的方法，讓你不斷前進(jìn)。
1.Arrive early
提早到辦公室上班
If you’re an employee who shows up late every day, you may never get a raise. A study from the American Psychological Association found that early arrivers were perceived as more conscientious.
如果你是一個每天都遲到的員工，加薪、升遷也許不會輪到你。美國心理學(xué)會研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，提早到的員工會讓Boss印象深刻，認(rèn)為他們比較負(fù)責(zé)任、工作勤奮。此外，你還可以提早準(zhǔn)備工作，做事更有效率。
2.Have grace under pressure
勇于面對壓力
When the pressure’s on, how do you react? Supervisors tend to favor employees who can handle daily stresses without losing their cool.
許多成功人士，他們面臨困境的時候，始終態(tài)度溫和而不會遷怒他人。訓(xùn)練自己，面對壓力時也要冷靜面對。上司通常比較喜歡那些能沉著應(yīng)對工作壓力的員工。當(dāng)你升遷或執(zhí)行更重要的任務(wù)時，你會發(fā)現(xiàn)，保持這樣的心態(tài)，不但能把事情處理得更好，也能讓你和身邊共事的人相處得更好。
3.Maintain a positive attitude

With all other factors aside, employers favor workers who come to work each day with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, especially when compared to those who complain.
對于愛抱怨的員工，Boss 比較喜歡那些有熱情，態(tài)度比較積極的員工。所以，收起你對公司的抱怨，嘗試當(dāng)個快樂積極的人，不僅能夠影響身邊的人，讓他們樂于和你工作，自己也會從中獲得前進(jìn)的動力。
4.Avoid gossip
不要說閑話
It can be tempting to join your coworkers at the water cooler, but the boss pays attention to such things. Participating in gossip can give off the perceptionthat you’re unprofessional.
茶水間是員工最佳的休閑和聊天的地方。雖然一起閑聊可以增加同事之間的感情。Boss很介意這樣的人，認(rèn)為你是一個喜歡滋生是非、不專心工作的人。
5.Be productive
有效率地工作
Your daily work output can make a big difference if your supervisor is considering handing out raises. Find a way to focus throughout the day and get your work done ahead of deadline consistently.
做事有效率、工作表現(xiàn)好，讓自己在工作的時候保持專注，提前完成你的任務(wù)。Boss會覺得你是做事有效率、有能力的，還會考慮幫你漲工資。
6.Participate
參與感
Be active, whether you’re part of a brainstorming session or networking at the annual Christmas party. If management sees you as a vital part of the team, you could be first in line for a salary increase.
積極參與各種活動。不論是為某個計劃集思廣益，還是節(jié)慶聚會，都要樂于參與。如此一來，管理層的人會視你為團(tuán)隊中重要的一員，默默地將你放在加薪的名單之中。
7. Fix problems
解決問題的能力
Problem solvers are vital members of any team, so try to be the go-to person whenever your boss needs a solution.

8. Add value
提高自己的身價
If you want to add money to your paycheck, add to the value you’re bringing to your employer. Get certified or learn a new skill, then provide your employer an updated resume.

9. Be a team player
團(tuán)隊精神
Just how much do you help coworkers when they are experiencing trouble? As important as it is to stand out, it’s also important that your leaders see you as a team player.
當(dāng)你的同事遇到困難時，你能夠幫他們多少忙？你幫了他們，或許日后他也會以不同方式報答你。很重要的一點(diǎn)，讓Boss知道你是個有團(tuán)隊精神的人。
10. Keep your boss updated
讓Boss覺察你的努力
You can be the hardest worker in the company and it won’t mean anything if your boss doesn’t realize it. Make it a habit to send regular status updates, especially if you’re working on an important long-term project.
你在公司里做的死去活來，忙里忙外。如果Boss沒看見，也不會讓你得到更多的升職機(jī)會。主動出擊，讓Boss知道你負(fù)責(zé)的數(shù)據(jù)、報告。如果你是負(fù)責(zé)長期的項(xiàng)目，這更是一個機(jī)會讓Boss覺察你認(rèn)真負(fù)責(zé)。
11.Get along with others
同事關(guān)系融洽
In addition to helping out your team members, avoid altercations at all costs. Even if you’re in the right, it’s just not worth it. Your boss will perceive you as a troublemaker if you can’t get along with others.
除了盡你所能幫助身邊的同事，也要注意不要引起非必要的爭執(zhí)。即便你是對的，也不要太咄咄逼人，讓別人輸了了面子。（老美也是注重面子的）畢竟在同一個公司里，Boss最不喜歡惹是生非，總是與別人發(fā)生爭執(zhí)的員工。
12. Dress professionally
穿正裝
In a 2013 surveyconducted by OfficeTeam, 80 percent of executives said clothing choices affect an employee’s chances of a promotion. Look clean, pressed, and well-dressed at all times.
除非你有別人比不上的天賦，否則，上班還是穿正裝吧！注意，請不要隨意搭配。根據(jù)2013年度的一份調(diào)查指出，約有80%的主管認(rèn)為穿著會嚴(yán)重影響一個人的升職機(jī)會。看來穿著干凈、整潔，得當(dāng)是非常重要的，讓Boss知道你是一個重視形象的人。
13. Apply for promotions
善于把握機(jī)會
One of the best ways to get a raise is to move into a new position. Keep an eye out for promotional opportunities and apply when you qualify.
加薪的最好辦法就是申請升遷，在一個新的崗位繼續(xù)努力。密切注意公司內(nèi)部的升遷機(jī)會，提升自己能力，當(dāng)機(jī)會來臨時，會有意想不到的好收獲。
14. Ask
開口問就對了
If finances are strong at your company, don’t hesitate to ask. Mention your value to the company and provide strong reasons why you deserve one.
如果你公司的財力足夠好。別猶豫，直接問就對了。問的同時，強(qiáng)調(diào)自己為公司作出的特別貢獻(xiàn)，讓高層同意幫你漲薪。
15. Know when to leave
知道何時該離開
Sometimes, despite your best efforts, you’ve simply reached the end of the road with your current employer. If it’s clear you’re in a dead-end job, start looking for a better opportunity elsewhere.
有時候工作太久，你會漸漸地知曉自己是否有加薪的機(jī)會。如果你已充實(shí)自己欠缺的能力，確認(rèn)可以找到薪資更高，更適合自己的工作機(jī)會?；蛟S，是時候離開原來的崗位，轉(zhuǎn)換跑道了。
