During the summer time, I read the books mainly for previewing the books I will read to Melon, coz I felt a little bit embarrassed without any preparation. This book was illustrated by Debra Potter, although I have read it before, I got a feeling that I still needed to pick it up and read it with different mood at this moment, it was totally new to me.
I sang the book from the beginning to the end just like I did before, I got a strong feeling of the music power, following the melody I knew from the audio pen, my blood in my body jumped in rhythm, I was deeply moved by the song and the pics. When I read the 1st page, “I am the music man, I come from down ur way, and I can play! What can u play? I play piano! etc”, the music man was pass by the road the bunny was staying, and she followed the music man to the piano room to listen to the music, she was obviously very enjoying the piano music. When I sang the words, I felt I were like the bunny chasing the music man, strange but very interesting. Then It came to the 2nd page, it was a dog’s turn to follow a girl to listen to her saxophone music, the dog liked the music judging from his face. The 3rd page came to an old lady played the bass drum, music was not about age and different animal species, the bird listened to the big bass drum and seems liked singing along with the bass drum. When it came to the last 2 pages, the bandleader was like leading the orchestra group playing the instruments, the animals were dancing or singing besides them, actually they were the group members of the orchestra.
Now I think everyday’s metro time without my kid around me, it’s the perfect time for me to preview the story books, then I can understand the books better to read it to the others, not just to my kid.
