I think many of us have thought of how to boost or improve our brainpower. It turns our that studying a second ?language could help it, which means bilingualism or speaking two languages equally well is a form of ?brain training. However, we have to admit that most of we Chinese students are not bilingual even though we have spent years learning English, and the truth is that only a very few of?elite students are bilingual. But as people have more and more resources about how to really master it, today's children and students are going better and better with it. If we are keen to make our brain be up to the challenge, we have to try really harder. Besides, being bilingual may protect our brain from damage if we have a stroke, which usually happens to the elder. I think we need to exercise our brain in a early time otherwise the more later we do the more "compensation" we need to provide. We ?can't plead that our brainpower would get improve by itself. Improving it could also help us to defend some trauma when some tragedies happen, like we could calm ourselves down when we see the epidemic of mass slaughter.?
