? ? ? ? 魯米的全名是莫拉維·賈拉魯丁·魯米（Molana Jalaluddin Rumi）。當時的土耳其人稱東羅馬帝國為魯姆（Rum），魯米（Rumi）的意思就是來自東羅馬帝國。他的出生地是在巴爾赫（Balkh，位于今阿富汗境內），所以他還有一個名字叫巴爾希（Balkhi），塔吉克人，但魯米這個名字更為常用。他原名叫穆罕默德·賈拉魯丁則是他的稱號，意思是宗教圣人，后來他也被尊稱為莫拉維，意思是大師、長老。下面10句名言：
