華兄，四川酒城瀘州人士也，酷愛詩(shī)詞翻譯，大號(hào)“酒城譯癡”，可謂精彩的自我寫照。進(jìn)入他的博客，那蔚為大觀的場(chǎng)面，足以令每一位同好嘆為觀止。華兄?jǐn)?shù)學(xué)專業(yè)出身，殺入譯壇三年以來，幾乎每天都有新譯作，至今共翻譯了近千首詩(shī)歌，其后期的譯作水平已超過科班出身的專業(yè)翻譯家，這就是滿腔“癡”情創(chuàng)造出來的奇跡。
華兄以前就自號(hào)“酒城譯癡”，后來改為Howard2005，現(xiàn)在很高興見到他又恢復(fù)了他的老字號(hào)，后者是華兄譯才與自信齊頭并進(jìn)的明證。同為詩(shī)詞翻譯愛好者，我與華兄網(wǎng)上相識(shí)一年，交流甚多，最佩服的就是他的這個(gè)“癡”字，因?yàn)檫@代表著恒心與毅力，代表著鉆研與浸淫，這是把任何事業(yè)做成功的必要因素，而不幸的是，這都是我最缺乏的。我雖然也搗鼓出來過不少值得沾沾自喜的譯文，但我本質(zhì)上是個(gè)到處留情的人，注定在這條道路上走不了太遠(yuǎn)。所以，還是拭目以待華兄終成大器之日，不也快哉！華兄以“磨劍十年”自勉，不知道一朝劍出鞘之日，將是何等的威風(fēng)？
近日我的譯詩(shī)水平下降得非常厲害，連押韻都感到非常吃力，可能快不行了。盡管如此，還是要勉力翻譯一下華兄的自喻詩(shī)《酒城譯癡》，聊當(dāng)同好的喝采吧。我想，今后哪天我確認(rèn)自己真的不行了，也還是要翻譯詩(shī)詞，專門翻譯成對(duì)譯才要求較低的無(wú)韻詩(shī)形式，就像現(xiàn)在一樣。
酒城譯癡

酒窖百里香，
城闕千年醉。

Tracing the wine fragrance for one hundred miles, 沿著酒香，追逐百里之遙，
I find a town drunk for one thousand years. 我找到一座沉醉了一千年的小城，
There lives a poem translator mind-consumed, 城里住著一位絞盡腦汁的詩(shī)歌翻譯家，
Too devoted to feel regret all his life. 他獻(xiàn)身譯詩(shī)，一生無(wú)悔。
