When everyone is interested in success, 《Barking Up the Wrong Tree》(Eric Barker) tells us that the success is not always coming up with the well planned,rational calculation with firmly execution but some fortunes or decisions without any choices. Sometimes is from the most unrealistic or defective person who's even good at lying to everyone including herself/himself.But they do have one common : passions with keep doing what they're doing.
There's also another popular book name 《Grit:The Power of Passion and Perseverance》,the author defines the Grit as Passion and Perseverance and everyone need to have it if you want to do something.

1,SEALs and SALEs
It's well known that the US SEALs is a terrific military forces whose training is always been studied as business cases.It's famous for the brutal training of elimination system. For e.g., there's a testing program requiring 110 hours of non-stop moving and swimming without any rest and sleep.If you can't hold on, you could choose to quit immediately which means you're eliminated from SEALs as well.Only those who can move to last second,could stay in the team.And the research about those successful ones is also very interesting as they're not from the strongest ones but the most positive ones.
This characteristics is just like the sales persons.
Sales is one of the most suffering careers in the world and they will face innumerable rejection with sarcastic treatment.Only those super positive ones could handle it well from endless frustrations.
Just as the COO of Facebook,Sheryl Sandberg, from her book 《Option B: Facing Adversity,Building Resilience, and Finding Joy》tells us : facing the depressed life,people always have 3P emotions : personalization,permanence and pervasiveness. The struck is so terrible and it may last for a whole life, we can't overcome it anymore. what a desperate fate!
But from the optimists, they would take it as : 1,It's temporary ;2,It's not my fault ; 3,It's just unlucky - not my fault again. Thoug all these thoughts doesn't make any sense even kind of nonsense, it help most of them to survive till the end.So if you're not taking this nonsense and think about everything with rational logic, what would happen?
2,Mental disorder and Unhappy lawyers
If you see everything objectivly and rationally ....you may have mental disorder, also the world would be not so funny. Maybe the world itself is not perfect, we need to lie ourselves sometimes.From this point of view, the optimism with lying is kind of protection for the human species.
Take the lawyer as an example, the lawyer, one of the dangerous career of high potential connecting to mental disorder, always need to prepare the worst scenario and it's a career only for pessimists.
That's why though most of the lawyers have high incomes with good reputation,52% of them are unhappy and quit after a while. It looks like that we don't need to be realistic all the time and lying yourself sometimes works for you.
How could you lie to youself all the time ? Yes, stories .
3,Great Stories and Chocolate
If every unfolding we experience takes us further along in life, then, we are truly experienceing what life is offering...One day when i decided to transfer to another city to take a new role from different company and manage different business, if i've thought over all the details of obstacles : unfamiliar cities,loneliness,different culture of companies, new challenges of work....I probably would never move forward and have chance to learn from different people. Sometimes, the job itself means more than the work,that's what we've called "something bigger than yourself" .The good stories with sweety dreams come from that the god would always help those who gets up early with sunshine energy and eager to embrace new knowledge and skills. More important, there's more chance to meet the handsome guys.
Sometimes, there's no way for people to be optimistic. For e.g., for the people who's in Nazi concentration camp, life is no different from any other day but death.Many had chosed suicide, but some had survived until the freedom.
So what kind of miracle happening to those who's alive in the end ? Stories! They told themselvies very sweety stories :? Going back to families,meeting their wives,teaching the kids homework,promising taking care of the garden...In fact, they even don't know where's their families,how could their kids survive in the world.... But they've persuaded themselves to live until the they could find the stories themselves.
There's no point for the story is true or not, as long as it does provide something more than the life itself.
About 24 months ago ,when i decided to persue the studies from English, i begun to prepare papers from the professional exams. It had nothing to do with my current work at that time, but my mentor showed me a gorgeous picture while i was on the path to the prospective future. When someone from a different planet showed even more sweety stories : Chocolate ！I love the sweety chocolate, especially when i deserve it. Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.Ignoring how much struggling moments after a busy work and tired travel and the anxiety before the exam, the only thing i do remember is the dreaming chocolate. While the Alien was disappearing from this planet as well as the chocolate, the first task after my exam was to looking for the unique chocolate from the sweeties on this planet. If you have a dream, you got to protect it, though it's not easy, not to say protecting someone else's dream. All of life is an act of letting go, but what hurts the most is not taking a moment to say goodbye.
In the end, we've seen most of the success was just started from a beginning, then keep on doing until there's a way. If you've seen everything clearly at the first second, you know all the details of obstacles, you may never start it.
Keep on positive,keep on doing it no matter in lies or plans.Learn to think for yourselves again, not matter what anybody tells you,words and ideas can change the world.You must strive to find your own voice, because the longer you wait to begin, the less likely you are to find it at all.
Hope is the good thing maybe the best thing,and no good thing ever dies.
