偉人頌

Ode to the Great Man

亂世沉浮慟神州，

八方烽火灼金甌。

In chaotic times our sacred land did groan;

From all sides war flames scorched our vessels of stone.

山河破碎哀民瘼，

列強(qiáng)肆虐傷國(guó)仇。

Broken hills and streams witnessed people’s distress;

Foreign invaders tramped on us with fierceness.

湘水韶山出俊彥，

雄才大略解殷憂。

A hero from the Hills by River Xiang,

With lofty ideals, eased our deep worrying.

秋收義舉燃星火，

井岡雄師戰(zhàn)未休。

The Autumn Uprising lit a sparking fire;

At Jinggang Mountains fought the brave never tired.

萬(wàn)里長(zhǎng)征驚寰宇，

延安帷幄定鴻猷。

The Long March amazed the world with miracles;

In Yan’an headquarters were made good articles.

驅(qū)倭八載堅(jiān)貞志，

蕩蔣三年浩氣留。

Eight years spent to drive all the Japanese out;

Three more to crush the reactionaries about.

偉業(yè)豐功昭日月，

名垂青史頌千秋。

Great deeds like sun and moon will ever shine bright,

And your good name will endure in histories’ light.

①金甌：比喻完整的國(guó)土，亦泛指國(guó)土

②瘼：病痛，疾苦

③俊彥：杰出人才

④殷憂：深深的憂慮

⑤鴻猷：宏圖大業(yè)，或深遠(yuǎn)的謀劃
