有一只小刺猬遇到了一件讓他苦惱極了的事情：一個大蘋果落在了她的背上，她怎么也取不下來，找了很多小伙伴都沒有弄下來，她該怎么辦？一起讀繪本《Ouch！小刺猬的麻煩》吧！
Hedgehog had just finished building her winter nest under the old apple tree.
一棵老蘋果樹下，小刺猬剛剛建好了她過冬的小窩。
Not too large and not too small. Just right for a nice long winter sleep.
不大，也不小，正合適在里面美美地睡上一個冬天
Suddenly a juicy red apple landed on her back. "Ouch!" squeaked Hedgehog.
突然，一個鮮紅多汁的大蘋果落在了她的背上。“哎呦！”嚇得小刺猬吱吱叫。
She curled into a spiny ball, hoping it would fall off. But when she uncurled, the juicy red apple was still there.
小刺猬縮成一個球，希望大蘋果自己掉下來?？墒牵?dāng)她伸開手腳時，鮮紅多汁的大蘋果仍然留在她的背上。
Hedgehog tried to squeeze herself and the apple into the beautiful new nest.
小刺猬又試著背著蘋果一起往她漂亮的新窩里面鉆。
But could she get in?
可是，她鉆的進(jìn)去嗎？
No, she could not. Not with the apple on her back. The nest was too small.
不，背著大蘋果可鉆不進(jìn)去。這個窩太小了。
Oh dear!
噢！我的天哪！
Squirrel, scurrying past with an armful of brown nuts, stopped to help.
小松鼠兩手抱著滿滿的棕色堅果，正一路小跑著趕路，看到小刺猬。他停下來幫忙。
"Stand still. I'll push the apple off." he said.
"站著別動，我?guī)湍惆汛筇O果推下去。"他說。
And he pushed. And he heaved.
于是，他推啊推，拉啊拉。
And he struggled. And he tugged.
扭啊扭。抓啊抓。
But the juicy red apple stayed where it was.
可是，那個鮮紅多汁的大蘋果依然好好的呆在小刺猬的背上。
Worse still, three of Squirrel's brown nuts got caught in Hedgehog's spines.
更糟糕的是，小松鼠懷里的三個棕色堅果也扎在小刺猬刺兒中間拔不出來了。
So now she had a juicy red apple and three brown nuts on her back.
這么一來，小刺猬背著一個鮮紅多汁的大蘋果又加上三只棕色的堅果。
"Oh dear!" wailed Hedgehog.
"噢。我的天??！"小刺猬哭了起來，
"Winter is coming and I can't get into my nest. What will I do?"
"冬天就要來了。我鉆不進(jìn)我的小窩去了。我該怎么辦呀”
"Try rolling on your back." snorted Pig, trotting up.
“你在地上打個滾兒試試?！毙∝i哼哼地，一路小跑過來了。
" That'll get rid of them."
這樣你就能把他們蹭掉了。
"Has it all gone?" she asked hopefully.
“掉了沒有？”她滿懷希望地問，
Scrabbling to her feet.
小手小腳在地上撲騰。
Pig shook his head.
小豬搖了搖頭。
"No."
“沒掉。”
The juicy red apple and the three brown nuts were still there.
那個鮮紅多汁的大蘋果和三只棕色的堅果依然好好的呆在小刺猬的背上。
So were a small green pear and a crumpled brown leaf.
而且，還多了一只小小的青梨和一片皺巴巴的枯樹葉。
"Oh dear!"sighed Hedgehog, rolling her eyes.
“噢，我的天哪！”小刺猬轉(zhuǎn)轉(zhuǎn)她的小眼睛，嘆了口氣。
But up in the sky, sailing towards Hedgehog, she saw a colorful bit of card.
禍不單行，就在她頭上，飛來了一小張鮮艷的卡片。
Bother! She cried. This way and that she ran, as fast as she could. This way and that drifted the card...
真煩人! 她大喊。小刺猬左躲右閃，拼命地跑。小卡片也左飄右蕩的跟著她……
And landed right on her back, between the apple and the three brown nuts.
……不偏不倚地正好落在她背上，扎在了大蘋果和棕色堅果中間。
"It's not fair!" Cried Hedgehog, who now had a juicy red apple, three brown nuts, a small green pear, a crumpled brown leaf and a colorful bit of card on her back.
“這真是邪門啦！”小刺猬叫著，現(xiàn)在她的背上插著一個鮮紅多汁的大蘋果，三只棕色的堅果，一只小小的青梨，一片皺巴巴的枯樹葉還加上一小張鮮艷的卡片。
"I’ll never get into my nest!"
“我永遠(yuǎn)也別想鉆進(jìn)我的小窩了！”
Hedgehog pattered to the pond and gazed at her reflection in the water.
小刺猬吧嗒吧嗒的走到池塘邊，她盯著水中自己的倒影瞧。
"Hello, Hedgehog. That’s a lot of stuff on your back." Croaked Frog.
“嘿，小刺猬。你可背著不少好玩意兒?。 鼻嗤苓蛇傻卣f。
"I’m trying to get rid of it." Sniffed Hedgehog.
“我正在想辦法把它們弄掉呢?！毙〈题宋亲?。
"Dive,"said Frog. "That will wash it off " Said Frog.
“水能把他們沖掉?！扒嗤芙ㄗh道。
Hedgehog dipped afoot in the murky water then dived.
小刺猬伸出一只小腳丫踩進(jìn)深色的水中。接著，潛了下去。
Splash! Her friends watched Hedgehog bobbing up and down.
嘩……小刺猬的朋友們看著她在水里上上下下地?fù)潋v著。
The Juicy red apple, the three brown nuts, the small green pear, the crumpled brown leaf and the colorful bit of card were all still there.
那個鮮紅多汁的大蘋果，三只棕色的堅果，那只小小的香梨，那片皺巴巴的枯樹葉還有那張鮮艷的卡片依然好好地呆在小刺猬的背上。
So was a pink water lily.
而且，還多了一朵粉紅色的荷花。
"Glug~glug~glug" gurgled Hedgehog as the others heaved her out of the water. She did look funny!
“咳~咳~咳”大家把小刺猬拉出水面的時候，她還吐著水呢。她看起來真是滑稽極了！
But Hedgehog did not find it funny.
可是，小刺猬一點兒也不覺得好笑。
"Stop laughing!”she spluttered and stamped her feet on the ground.
“別笑了！”噼里啪啦地跺著腳丫。
“Where am I going to sleep?"
“這下我去哪兒睡覺??？”
Pig and Squirrel looked worried. So did Frog.
小豬和小松鼠露出擔(dān)心的神色，小青蛙也一樣。
"I do have one last idea," oinked Pig.
“我倒是還有最后一個主意，” 小豬呼嚕嚕地說。
"Squeeze through that hedge over there. That’ll brush everything off."
“你使勁兒從那堆樹叢中穿過去，那些小樹能把所有的東西都刮掉?！?/p>
So Hedgehog closed her eyes and squeezed herself through the thick leaves. But did it get everything off her back?
于是，小刺猬閉上眼睛，把自己塞進(jìn)濃密的樹葉中去。不過，它真的能把所有的東西都刮掉嗎？
"Oooh!" cried Goat."You’ve brought LUNCH!"
“咩——”山羊叫著?！澳憬o我?guī)砹宋绮桶?！?/p>
"Help yourself." Said Hedgehog. Take it all.
“別客氣，隨便吃?！毙〈题f?！叭慷汲怨??！?/p>
"Yippee!" brayed Goat.
“太好了！”山羊尖叫起來。
Then he picked off and ate the juicy red apple.
接著，他把鮮紅多汁的大蘋果，
The three brown nuts, the small green pear, the pink water lily and the four ripe blackberries.
和三只棕色的堅果、小小的青梨、粉紅色的荷花，還有四顆熟透了的黑莓一個一個地摘下來吃掉。
For pudding, he ate the card.
他連那張小卡片也作為餐后甜點吃掉了。
The only thing he left was the crumpled brown leaf.
唯一剩下的東西就是那片皺巴巴的枯樹葉。
He just couldn’t eat any more.
他已經(jīng)吃飽了。多一點兒也吃不下了。
"Hoorah!"cried Hedgehog.
“好喲！”小刺猬高興地大喊。
She felt as light as a feather.
她覺得現(xiàn)在的自己輕飄飄的仿佛一片羽毛。
"Thank you, Goat."She said.
“謝謝你，山羊！”她說。
Then she ran as fast as her little legs could carry her, through the gate, pass the pond, across the orchard, under the tree and home to her nest.
說完她就跑開了，用她最快的速度全力奔跑，通過了籬笆門，經(jīng)過小池塘，穿過果園，大樹底下是她的家。她一路沖進(jìn)自己的小窩。
Hedgehog squeezed into her little nest.
小刺猬蹭進(jìn)她的小窩。
It fitted her perfectly.
小窩不大不小正合適。
And it was the best nest ever.
這是最好的窩啦！
Outside a cold wind blew another apple off the tree.
家門外面，寒冷的風(fēng)又吹落了一個大蘋果。
But it didn’t fall on Hedgehog.
不過這一次，大蘋果沒有落到小刺猬身上。
She was safe in her nest and fast, fall asleep.
她在小窩里可安全了，一眨眼功夫，她就睡著了。
