只要想用英語提問，What和How幾乎是避不開的一對“好基友”。What’s your name? How are you這種超常見的問句就不提了，我們今天要學(xué)點(diǎn)很常見，但大家又不那么熟悉的用法。

How is your brother???? （詢問健康狀況）

What is your brother like??????? （詢問性格特點(diǎn)）

對象是物

What was the journey like?

How was the journey?

這兩個(gè)句子都可以表示對某事/某物的看法、評價(jià)，但How……? 一般單獨(dú)使用（eg: How are your foreign language skills?? 你的外語水平如何？）What……則多作為賓語成分用于一個(gè)句子中（eg: You can see what the college is like for yourself and apply if

you'd like. 你可以自己上網(wǎng)看看這是所什么樣的大學(xué)，如果愿意的話，也可以在網(wǎng)上申請。）

現(xiàn)在大家都會(huì)經(jīng)常玩知乎，肯定會(huì)時(shí)不時(shí)看到這樣的問題：減肥成功是一種什么樣的體驗(yàn)？有一個(gè)帥氣/漂亮的男/女朋友是一種怎樣的體驗(yàn)？諸如此類。那這種“……是一種怎樣的體驗(yàn)”的句式用英語怎么表達(dá)呢？參考知乎的美國“老師”Quora就能發(fā)現(xiàn)，老外用的正是What is it like to do sth？

關(guān)于“問意見”還有兩個(gè)句型

What do you like about it?? （詢問具體細(xì)節(jié)）

How do you like it????? （詢問大概意見）

eg: How does he like Dartmouth? 他覺得達(dá)特茅斯學(xué)院怎么樣？

How did you like the orientation session today? 今天的迎新晚會(huì)，你感覺如何？

如果想問某人目前的生活狀況，可以說：How are things going with Jeff? 杰夫現(xiàn)在怎么樣？

How do/would you like it?? 還有一個(gè)特殊用法需要記住。比如在餐廳或咖啡館，服務(wù)生想詢問顧客對咖啡或某道菜的要求，就可以這么說。

A: I’llhave a coffee, please.

B: How do/would you like it?

A: Milk, no sugar.
