The three “Brain C’s”

#1 The brain is changing.

Downstairs brain is well-developed at birth, but the upstairs brain is undeveloped at birth and begins to grow during infancy and childhood. Understanding the children’s point of view, their developmental stage, and what they are capable of are more important before we simply react to their actions. Young children are not capable of making decisions yet, as parents, we need to work with them and lead them to the right path.

#2 The brain is changeable.

The brain is plastic, and moldable. It changes based on what happens to us. Studies show, Kids who learn music, their brains develop differently compared to kids who don’t. They can understand things better. How to interact with our children, and how they spend their time each day can shape their brains.

#3 The brain is complex.

We all know that brian has different parts and is responsible for different tasks. Our goal is to engage the upstairs brain’s receptivity, not downstairs brain’s reactivity. We want to engage instead of enrage.
