1.1 體驗設計Experience Design
體驗設計：Investigate human needs and experiences to devise improved services, systems and environments.
Experience designers take a holistic and integrative approach that focuses on the quality of the human experience in concrete situations. They employ research, analysis, creativity and technology as tools to understand human goals, needs, and desires. Their work examines and improves contexts, systems, services or events.
要點（1）專注體驗的質量（2）利用研究、分析、創(chuàng)造力和技術來理解、定義需求（3）產出：檢查和改進上下文、系統(tǒng)、服務或事件。
培養(yǎng)目標：體驗設計師
1.2 平面與信息設計Graphic and Information Design
專業(yè)定義：Create messages and meaning using visual form and the integration of text, image and data.
該專業(yè)有兩個培養(yǎng)方向：平面設計師和信息設計師
1.2.1 平面設計師
Graphic designers exploit rules of visual composition, form, and pattern to construct narratives or to command attention. Their work often has a persuasive intent.
要點：（1）利用構圖、形式和圖案來構建敘述或吸引注意力。（2）重點在說服力。
1.2.2 信息設計師
Information designers visualize concepts and data to enhance human understanding of complex and vital knowledge. Their work often has an enlightening or instructive intent.
要點：（1）將概念和數據可視化（2）重難在幫助理解、啟發(fā)和教育。
1.3 交互設計
Create navigable interfaces and systems that allow audiences to take an active role to achieve meaningful goals.
培養(yǎng)目標：交互設計師
Interaction designers focus on the creation of navigable interfaces and systems that allow audiences to take an active role to achieve meaningful goals. Their work connects people to people and people to information and environments.
要點：（1）創(chuàng)建可導航的界面和系統(tǒng)（2）將人與人、人與信息和環(huán)境聯(lián)系起來，解決問題。
1.4 媒體藝術：
課程介紹：create experiences of image and form with computer screens, intelligent devices, and new materials.
課程包括:紀錄片、游戲藝術、可視化、視覺效果、動畫、互動藝術、插畫和動畫短片等，有動畫、攝影、視頻三個方向。該項目的美術部分和UAL中央圣馬丁合作。
有動畫、攝影、視頻三個培養(yǎng)方向
1.4.1動畫
動畫集中為包括電影、視覺效果、傳播、可視化、游戲和空間媒體在內的各種動畫內容提供了整個流程的全面探索。動畫專業(yè)提供了大量的機會去探索并與相關的創(chuàng)意學科(VR/AR/XR，游戲設計，交互，視頻等)合作，通過2D和3D動態(tài)設計探索有效的視覺溝通。
1.4.2 視頻
視頻藝術是一個多學科領域，專注于創(chuàng)意視頻表達和信息傳遞，將藝術和設計基礎、藝術和設計歷史、視頻制作、電影語言（包括紀錄片、敘事和實驗策略）、協(xié)作框架、以及社會&文化變革理論和美學實踐整合在一起。

東北大學的設計學科非常豐富，不僅有Game Design, BFA等專業(yè)，幾乎所有的專業(yè)都可以+Design，比如：～和計算機科學學院合作的Computer Science and Design, BS（結合了基礎設計課程，注重編程基礎，加強數字接口和應用程序開發(fā)技能。）、Computer Science and Media Arts, BS（在媒體藝術基礎上增加了數據庫設計、計算機圖形和人機交互的課程）；
～和新聞系合作的Journalism and Interaction Design, BS（新聞+平面排版設計）；

由于NEU地處波士頓，有豐富的實踐機會，他的Co-op項目非常有特色。從上圖可以看到：大二、大三春夏有兩次Co-op機會。
