? ? ? ? 于是，對(duì)佛學(xué)認(rèn)知只有菩薩如來(lái)金剛彌勒以及阿彌陀佛的我，在清幽的感染下，書(shū)架嶄新書(shū)籍的視覺(jué)沖擊下，思考了自己未來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)佛學(xué)的可能性和動(dòng)力，拜取了一本最薄的英文佛學(xué)書(shū)：佛教起源。
? ? ? ? 學(xué)到了什么佛法，頓悟了什么透徹不敢說(shuō)，但對(duì)佛學(xué)中的一些英文詞匯和句子，卻是多了認(rèn)知，姑且，記錄下來(lái)，沒(méi)準(zhǔn)，哪天還能有機(jī)會(huì)，和外來(lái)的和尚念念經(jīng)。
? ? ? ? 先看看佛學(xué)核心思想：unselfish and public-spirited, and springs from a wish to benefit others. 感覺(jué)和雷鋒精神一樣，毫不利己專門(mén)利人。
? ? ? ? 如果你和我一樣對(duì)佛學(xué)一無(wú)所知，請(qǐng)根據(jù)這句話進(jìn)行檢討：Understanding the buddha-nature is a reliable way of explaining how humans evolved, but few people have the wisdom to reach that level of understanding. 我不禁狠狠評(píng)估了自己的智商，感覺(jué)拉進(jìn)了人類均值，于是，我決定繼續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)。
? ? ? ? 佛學(xué)勸人為善不作惡：Practice? good deeds and abstain form evil deeds. 因?yàn)樯朴猩茍?bào)惡有惡報(bào): If you plant a good cause, you reap a good fruit; if you plant a bad cause you reap a bad effect.
? ? ? 天堂和地獄就在一念間：The heavens and the hells are created based on people's thoughts.
? ? ? ? 世間萬(wàn)物都是佛法的表達(dá)：All the myriad things and creatures are expressions of dharma.
? ? ? ? 我們常常說(shuō)六根清凈，到底什么是六根：眼，耳，鼻，舌，身，意。eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and intent.
? ? ? ? 有時(shí)候，可能會(huì)說(shuō)一個(gè)人本性是好的，如果他做了什么不好的事，也不是他的真實(shí)意圖，那么，在佛學(xué)中，對(duì)于這幾個(gè)詞：本性nature，意識(shí)consciousness，意圖intent和思想mind有明確的說(shuō)明和區(qū)分：Newborn babies are innocent and true. They have no concept of self, living beings, or lifespans. That quality is their nature. As soon as they start to nurse, their consciousness becomes active. Eventually, they become aware that without clothes they will feel cold and embarrassed. When they become aware of hunger, thirst, cold and heat, their intent is forming. Then when they mature and start wanting to acquire material things, they are using their mind.
? ? ? ? 每個(gè)人生而無(wú)一物，死也不帶走一物，又何必在生命的過(guò)程中沾染俗世喧囂？Originally there's not a single thing, where can the dust alight? 本來(lái)無(wú)一物，何處惹塵埃？
? ? ? ? When we reach the point of not wanting anything, everything will be ours. 當(dāng)我們無(wú)欲無(wú)求，方可擁有一切。
? ? ? ? 一失足成千古恨，再回頭已百年身：A single mistake brings everlasting regret, by the time we recover, we will have reached a ripe old age.
? ? ? ? 佛教云為人即受苦，故而需要修行，而人一生中有八苦：生苦、老苦、病苦、死苦、愛(ài)別離苦、怨憎會(huì)苦、求不得苦、五陰熾盛苦。The suffering of birth, the suffering of old age, the suffering of sickness, the suffering of death, the suffering of being apart from those you love, the suffering of being together with those you hate, the suffering of not obtaining what you want and the suffering of raging blaze of the five skandhas.
? ? ? ? 為什么會(huì)受苦？因?yàn)槲覀儾恢朗裁词钦鎸?shí)，什么是虛無(wú)，我們追求的五欲：財(cái)，色，名，食，睡為虛。Five desires: wealth, sex, fame, food and sleep. 而涅槃四德常樂(lè)我凈為真：The four virtues of Nirvana: eternity, bliss, true self and purity.
? ? ? ? 就算泡在苦海里，也沒(méi)什么，因?yàn)榭嗪o(wú)邊回頭是岸：The sea of suffering is boundless, but a turn of the head is the other shore. 對(duì)身邊的事不要太尋根問(wèn)底，因?yàn)槟阍教骄?，越困惑，越困惑，越不解：The more you want to understand, the more confused you become, and the more confused you are, the less you understand.
? ? ? ? 修行佛法的最終目的：跳出三界外，不受生死苦，到達(dá)極樂(lè)世界。Then you will be able to leave the triple realm, end birth and death, and attain the bliss of nirvana.
? ? ? ? 本書(shū)的最后，一直強(qiáng)調(diào)一句話，在我看來(lái)，這句話表示一切都是浮云：All things are impermanent, they are subject to production and extinction. 那么，佛學(xué)本身呢？是否浮云？阿彌陀佛，阿彌陀佛！
? ? ? ? 除了這些佛學(xué)語(yǔ)言，這本書(shū)還用了不少俗語(yǔ)和成語(yǔ)來(lái)使其淺顯易懂，就一并記下來(lái)吧：鐵杵磨成針——Grind the iron pillar down to sewing-needle size. 功到自然成——Your efforts will bear fruit when the work matures. 別因小失大——We should not miss out on the great because we cling to the small. 掩耳盜鈴——plug up his ears while stealing a bell.萬(wàn)丈高樓平地起——We have to build a pagoda story by story from the ground up. 春花秋落——springtime's flowers wither in the fall. 骨瘦如柴——as thin as a stick. 富可敵國(guó)——His fortune was comparable to the national treasury. 不為所動(dòng)——remain unmoved. 聽(tīng)而不聞，視而不見(jiàn)——Listen without hearing, look without seeing. 如影隨形——Follow us just like shadows.
? ? ? ? 走馬觀花，淺嘗即止，不求甚解，這是我看完這本書(shū)的自我評(píng)價(jià)。對(duì)佛學(xué)，依舊一知半解，靈魂，不知是否升華，且罷，且罷，不如就此吧！
