那天傍晚，我步行回家，

迎面走來(lái)陌生的隊(duì)伍。

他們來(lái)自彗星。

來(lái)得這么快！

濃霧在田野散開，

晃動(dòng)虛弱的稻草人。

我快步走過石橋，

看了一眼枯死的流水。

他們緊隨而至，

面孔貼住窗玻璃——

那些瘋狂的蝴蝶的眼睛！

From a Comet

That night on my way home,

a strange team appeared in front of me.

They were from a comet.

They came so quick!

Thick fog spread out on the field.

The feeble scarecrow swung.

I hurried past the stone bridge,

cast a glance at the depleted water.

They arrived on my toes

and glued their faces on the windowpanes —

crazy butterfly eyes!
