A?book?review?of?The?Battle?Hymn?of?The?Tiger?Mother

Recently, I have read the first part of The Battle Hymn of The Tiger Mother. In this part of the book, Amy Chua introduces herself ,her husband, her two daughter and her parents to us. We can know that her family are so excellent that it may lead pressure to her education of her children. It seems to be necessary for her to teach her children into elite students, who are also expected to have a good command of at least one instrument. So Chua has to act as a strict tiger mother. She sets some rules and requests her daughters to do something that they may not want to do. So the girls may feel unhappy sometimes. If I were the girls in the book, I would ask for more freedom and independence to do the things which I love to do and I am interested in. Although she knows that she shall give her girls some space to grow up freely,? I think it can’t been seem from her performances. But on the contrary, it is because of these strict requirements that lead the children better and more excellent. Without the strictness, they may not be able to become the one that they could have been. So I consider that the education in the form of Tiger Mother has its both sides. This book leads us to think about the present education form and to find out a better way to educate.
