If you ask what I like to do daily in my current city, Adelaide, Australia, I would say walking?around my lovely neighbourhood. Even for today, Sunday is the same. Why? Follow?my?today’s adventure to find out the reasons.

??? Number 1, The River Torrens ??

I live 5km from the city and only 10 mins walk from this lovely river. It got my attention when I first arrived in Adelaide. You can ride your bike along this river all the way from the hills to the beach, via the city. For all the cities I’ve lived in China, I’ve never had that experience before. That’s one thing I like about Adelaide, nature is just at your doorstep. This is so cool. Also, I was so impressed that this city is surrounded by the parkland too.

我住在離市區(qū)5公里的地方，步行只需10分鐘就能到達(dá)這條可愛的河流。其實(shí)，當(dāng)我剛到阿德，這條河就成功吸引到了我的注意。因為你可以騎著單車沿著這條河一路從山上，穿過市區(qū)，到達(dá)海邊?？上攵?，自然風(fēng)光，美不勝收。這種地貌，對我而言，還是頭一次看到。而我本身，大愛自然，這也是我很喜歡這座城市的原因之一。大自然在這里，是那樣的觸手可及。而且讓我驚訝的是，這座城市的四周都被成片的綠化帶公園所包圍，真的是一座名副其實(shí)的綠色城市。

Something I’ve noticed about people in Australia, they are into outdoor activities, which is something I really like too. I always feel we should treat exercise as one of our priorities in life, plus exercising makes us happy too. Such a beautiful environment, why would you not want to spend more time there?

我注意到澳洲人很喜歡戶外運(yùn)動，恰巧我也喜歡。我覺得運(yùn)動應(yīng)該成為我們的重心之一，它也會讓你開心。而且在這么美的大自然里，你會情不自禁的想花更多的時間在這里。

I really like jogging or walking along the river in the morning before breakfast or after dinner. Usually, I can see many people of different ages here too, walking their dogs, jogging or riding their bikes. People smile and say hi to one another, which is lovely. You feel you are welcomed to live in such a safe and friendly community.

我會在早餐前或者晚餐后去河邊慢跑或散步。各個年齡段的人也都會來這里，遛狗，散步，跑步或者騎單車。大家通常都會友善的和彼此打招呼。我很喜歡這種感覺，因為你覺得在這里你很安全并且你知道你是受大家歡迎的。

If you are ambitious enough to ride or walk to the city, then this sign below could be very handy for you. It tells you how far you are away from the city. It acts as a kind count down reminder too, especially when you are so tired and want to give up. It seems to tell you: hang in there, you are very close to the city now???

When walking along the river, I can see so many colourful flowers. Today’s highlight is this orange flower, the?Bougainvillea,?because its colour is very unique.

Also, this Morning Glory really stands out among those green leaves.??

Every time when I look at these lovely plants, listen to the birds ??chirping and the sound of river flowing, my mind becomes so peaceful and I feel very content.

每次當(dāng)我看到這些可愛的植物，聽到鳥兒歌唱，河流潺潺，內(nèi)心就會變得特別寧靜而知足。

There are many routes here, so it’s a great place for you to explore.?

Today we decided to take a different path and explore a bit. I always think if you do the same thing every day, life would be so boring, right? Only by being adventurous and trying new things, can you add different colours to your life. Let’s be courageous every single day???

今天我和朋友就決定嘗試不一樣的路徑。如果每天都做同樣的事，那生活豈不是太無聊單調(diào)？只有愿意嘗試新事物，生活才會有不同的色彩，不是嗎？所以請大膽的探索每一天吧。

After half an hour walk, this is what we saw in the end. We reached another suburb!

An exchange bookshelf ??. I really like this idea. People here really treasure knowledge, and they see learning as a lifelong process. It’s very common to see some retired people going back to the uni to start a new degree. So I am trying to read more too.

For my neighbourhood, apart from this river, I love looking at different styles of houses. Some are surrounded by green leaves, which is very pleasant to see. Personally, I love living with nature harmoniously. Some are like castles, very grand and open. Which style do you like?

漫步街坊，我還喜歡欣賞各種不同的建筑，居民的房子。有的被植物環(huán)繞，綠意盎然，有的則像是城堡，開闊而壯觀。那什么類型的房子讓你心水呢？

There’s a lovely coffee shop between the river and my place. Some people like to grab a cup of coffee on their way home after their exercise as a reward.

在河流與我家中間有一家咖啡廳。?很多人喜歡在健身后回家前買一杯咖啡，細(xì)細(xì)品嘗，當(dāng)做給自己的獎賞。

Adelaide has a very strong coffee culture. Coffee to them is like tea to Chinese. They can have nothing for breakfast but coffee. To be honest, I didn’t like coffee at all when I first arrived here. I find it is really an acquired taste. Thanks to my colleagues who introduced me to coffee, because we always have coffee meetings?J?I am still not used to drink a long black, which is the pure coffee without any milk or sugar. Too strong for me. If you like chocolate as I do, then Mocha would be your option. Mocha is a mix of coffee and chocolate

If you are a fan of Starbucks, then you may feel a bit disappointed. There is not a single one Starbucks in Adelaide. The quality of coffee in Adelaide is too good ?? for Starbucks to compete for.

如果你是星巴克粉，那么你來這邊可能會失望。?因為你在阿德是找不到一家星巴克的。?阿德本土的咖啡太好喝，星巴克無法與其競爭，只能退出。因為阿德有很多意大利的后代。我相信阿德的咖啡不會讓你失望。

The coffee shop in my neighbourhood is called Royston Park Coffee. I like they wrote their drink options on the blackboard. Very traditional way but has a personal touch to it. To be personal is definitely one way the local shops like to do. This differentiates each?shop,?but also closes the gap between customers and the owners, because you feel they are so approachable.

這家社區(qū)咖啡店叫做Royston Park Coffee。我喜歡他們在黑板上用粉筆寫上他們的飲品選項。?非常傳統(tǒng)，但又極具個性化。?這也是當(dāng)?shù)氐赇伜芟矚g的一種方式。?所以每家店都很特別。?手寫的文字還拉近了店家與顧客的距離，讓你覺得非常親民，好像在自己家中一樣。

Another unique thing about this shop is it has some paintings inside for sale. I think it is a very smart idea. The paintings make the shop look different and more artistic. In the meantime, the shop helps the artists to sell their artworks. What a win-win situation???

這家店的另一個獨(dú)特之處在于它內(nèi)部有一些可供出售的藝術(shù)畫作。它們讓這家店看起來與眾不同，更具藝術(shù)觀賞性。同時它也無形中在幫助畫家出售了他的作品。雙贏，有木有？

By pressing in one of the buttons the cup can tell you if it’s a Mocha, Latte, Cappuccino or Flat White. The Flat White is a uniquely Australian style of coffee. Flat White has an even mix of liquid milk and smooth velvet foam so it has the espresso feel.
