Augustina Droze （奧古斯蒂娜·德羅澤）是一位現(xiàn)居北京的美國藝術家與學者，擁有著深厚的藝術學術背景。她的創(chuàng)作將西方的洛可可美學與東方的傳統(tǒng)圖案（如中國十二生肖、熱帶生物等）巧妙結合。常以昆蟲、鳥類等自然元素為主角，探討生命輪回與生態(tài)環(huán)境的脆弱平衡。同時作為知名的公共藝術專家，她的壁畫作品遍布在全球多地（如美國、印度）留下了地標性的大型公共壁畫作品。且近年來深耕于家庭藝術共創(chuàng)研究，是一位在國際當代藝術、公共空間創(chuàng)作及藝術教育領域均有卓越建樹的女性跨文化創(chuàng)作者。
Augustina Droze is a senior American artist and scholar currently residing in Beijing, with a profound academic background in art. Her artistic creations ingeniously combine Western Rococo aesthetics with traditional Eastern patterns, such as the Chinese zodiac and tropical creatures. She often takes natural elements including insects and birds as the protagonists in her works, exploring the cycle of life and the fragile balance of the ecological environment. As a renowned expert in public art, her mural works can be found across the globe, including in the United States and India, where she has created landmark large-scale public murals. In recent years, she has also devoted herself to research on family art co-creation, establishing herself as an outstanding female cross-cultural creator with remarkable achievements in the fields of international contemporary art, public space creation, and art education.

當異鄉(xiāng)的目光邂逅東方的煙火，當微觀的生靈躍入奇幻的夢境，一場跨越文化、穿透時光的藝術漫游，在?Menagerie 異獸靈囿·遊園戲夢?下悄然啟幕。這里是藝術家Augustina Droze的精神花園，她以畫筆為鑰匙，為我們打開了一個兼具東西方詩意與個人哲思的奇幻世界——既有西方魔幻現(xiàn)實主義的浪漫，又有東方美學的溫潤內斂；既有異獸靈禽的靈動鮮活，又有生命成長的厚重沉淀。
Augustina Droze的作品，總會讓人想起《少年派的奇幻漂流》，同樣以生靈為舟、以夢境為海，卻少了幾分漂泊的孤寂，多了一抹東方的溫柔與絢爛，像是一場不必歷經風浪，只管沉醉其中的奇幻游園。
When the gaze of a stranger meets the warmth of ?Eastern daily life, and tiny creatures leap into a fantasy dreamscape, an artistic journey spanning cultures and time quietly unfolds under the theme of "Menagerie: A Dreamy Wander in the Garden of Mythical Beasts". This is the spiritual garden of artist Augustina Droze, who uses her paintbrush as a key to unlock a magical world that blends Eastern and Western poetry with personal philosophy — a world that embodies the romance of Western magical realism, the warmth and restraint of Eastern aesthetics, the vitality of mythical beasts and spiritual birds, and the profound weight of life's growth.
The works of Augustina Droze always remind people of *Life of Pi*. Like the film, they take living creatures as a boat and dreams as the sea, yet with less loneliness of wandering and more touch of Oriental tenderness and splendor, as if it were a fantastical garden tour where one need not brave storms but simply indulge in the enchantment.
“Menagerie”，意為獸群、奇珍異獸的聚集地，而“異獸靈囿·遊園戲夢”，則為這份西方語境注入了東方的詩意與禪意?！办`囿”自古便是華夏大地上供生靈棲息、充滿靈氣的苑囿，是自然與靈性的共生之地；“遊園”是姿態(tài)，是藝術家以松弛的心境，在現(xiàn)實與夢境中穿梭，在文化與自然中徜徉；“戲夢”是內核，是藝術創(chuàng)作中那份不受束縛的想象力，是將生活的細碎與生命的思考，化作一場浪漫而深刻的夢境推演。這場展覽，便是Augustina Droze為我們打造的一座專屬靈囿，邀請每一位觀者，一同踏入她的藝術之夢，與異獸為友，與草木共生，與時光對話。
"Menagerie" refers to a collection of exotic or mythical beasts, while the Chinese title "A Dreamy Wander in the Garden of Mythical Beasts" infuses this Western concept with Eastern poetry and zen. Since ancient times, "Ling You" (the Garden of Mythical Beasts) has been a spiritual sanctuary on Chinese soil, a place where all living creatures dwell in harmony with nature and spirituality. "You Yuan" (Wandering the Garden) is an attitude — the artist moves freely between reality and dreams, wandering through culture and nature with a relaxed mind. "Xi Meng" (Playing in Dreams) is the core — the unrestrained imagination in artistic creation, transforming the trivialities of life and reflections on existence into a romantic and profound dream narrative. This exhibition is a private "Ling You" crafted by Augustina, inviting every viewer to step into her artistic dream, befriend mythical beasts, coexist with plants, and converse with time.
