From?sprinter?to?Marathoner

From these training sessions, I realized that what I appreciate the most about running is its ability to connect people. Sure, you can chat with friends in a cafe, but it’s much more refreshing to go on a jog and chat instead. Running is a social sport, an activity meant to be shared. From debates to lengthy chats, runs are conducive for human connection. I found my own endurance growing as I went on more of these long runs

with friends. Running with steadier friends forced me to grow more cognizant of my own speed and match their pace. I also recall plenty of times where I felt like stopping, but because I didn’t want to

disappoint my friend, I’d continue driving myself to keep up.
