PM Submits Updated Composition of Cabinet of Ministers
Giorgi Gakharia, Nominated Prime Minister of Georgia submitted an updated composition of the ?Cabinet of Ministers and Government Program For Building a European State to the 10th Convocation of the Parliament of Georgia in line with the Constitution of Georgia, Rules and Regulations of the Parliament of Georgia.
Cabinet of Ministers includes the following nominees:
1.?????Mikheil Chkhenkeli, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia;
2.?????Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia;
3.?????Natela Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia;
4.?????Irakli Garibashvili, Minister of Defense of Georgia;
5.?????Gocha Lortkipanidze, Minister of Justice of Georgia;
6.?????Ekaterine Tikaradze, Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Security of Georgia;
7.?????Maya Tskitishvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia;
8.?????David Zalkaliani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia;
9.?????Ivane Matchavariani, Minister of Finance of Georgia;
10.Vakhtang Gomelauri, Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia;

"Regarding the Government Program For Building a European State, its main goal is to overcome the crisis born by the pandemic, quick recovery and development of the economy, creation of a stable and safe environment for each citizen, continuation of structural reforms. In parallel, the country will take further steps towards consolidating democracy, aspiring towards European and Euro-Atlantic integration ?at the foreign front. Primary task for the coming years will be the institutional, economic and social preparations for submitting an application to the European Union (EU) for a fully-fledged membership of Georgia in 2024. Considering the referred aims and goals, the Government of Georgia will focus its efforts on the following four key areas for a quick?economic recovery and development, resulting in a strong, united and democratic state:? ?

-?????????Social policy and human capital development;
-?????????Public administration.
"Each key direction entails a pre-defined vision of the government with specific steps for action, which are elaborated in detail within the Government Program submitted to the legislative authority of the country," the government administration announced.?
