Here I try to answer this question with some mental analysis. I'm writing so slowly because I am a victim of perfectionism. This inclination always stops me from efficiently finishing my writing. For example, when I finished one paragraph, I would unconsciously look back and check if I used the best wording and expressions in it. This constantly interrupted my thinking. Even at the moment when I was writing down the previous sentence, I was considering whether to use thinking or?train of thoughts. And you can see how it really affects me.

This inclination also accounts for the undesired length of article when I write. I just included everything in my mind in the article, instead of singling out the most important point I want to express.

I have come up with an solution to it: press myself to finish whatever within 15 minutes, and do the revision and polishing up afterwards, within 5 min, as I will do for this article.
