這是一本書。This is a book. （表示種類而非數(shù)量）
I can't beat him down at one below.（強(qiáng)調(diào)只需要一拳，不需要第二次，強(qiáng)調(diào)數(shù)量）我只要一拳就可以打倒他。

冠詞的實(shí)用價值
通過“冠詞后面一般有名詞”來判斷詞類
栗子
The crane is contactor controlled by operating a rod.（如果contactor是名詞，前面要加冠詞，沒有冠詞，說明這里不是作為名詞出現(xiàn)，后面的也不是分詞作定語修飾名詞）
contactor controlled （是一體的）觸控器控制的；名詞+過去分詞 → 表示動作的工具或行為主體。例如man-made
翻譯：這臺起重機(jī)是通過操縱一個桿，用觸控器來控制的。
用不用冠詞的意義區(qū)別
（1）物質(zhì)名詞不用冠詞，若用，則具體化
a glass一只玻璃杯、 the glass? 這只玻璃杯 (具體化)
an iron 熨斗? irons? 鐐銬
（2）某些詞或詞組用或不用冠詞，意義不同
experience? ? ? 經(jīng)驗(yàn)? ? ? an experience? 一種經(jīng)歷
