The Gingerbread Man 《姜餅人》

Once upon a time, an old woman baked a gingerbread man. As soon as she opened the oven door, the gingerbread man jumped out and ran away.

很久很久以前，有一位老太太烤了一個姜餅人。她一打開烤箱門，姜餅人就跳了出來，跑了出去。

"Run, run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!" he shouted as he ran through the village.

“跑啊，跑啊，你們能跑多快就跑多快！你們抓不住我，我是姜餅人！”他邊跑邊喊，穿過了村莊。

The old woman and other villagers chased after him, but the gingerbread man was too fast for them.

老太太和其他村民追了上去，但姜餅人跑得太快了。

On his way, he met a cow, a horse, and a fox, each of whom tried to catch him. But the clever gingerbread man outsmarted them all and continued running.

在途中，他遇到了一頭牛，一匹馬和一只狐貍，他們都試圖抓住他。但聰明的姜餅人把他們都騙過了，繼續(xù)奔跑。

Finally, he reached a river and saw no way to cross it. The sly fox, who had been following him, offered to help. He suggested the gingerbread man ride on his back to cross the river.

最后，他到達了一條河，看不到任何過河的辦法。一直跟著他的狡猾的狐貍提出幫助。他建議姜餅人騎在他的背上過河。

The gingerbread man agreed, but as soon as they reached the other side, the fox tossed him into the air and gobbled him up.

And so, the story of the gingerbread man teaches us to be cautious of those who offer help, for not everyone has good intentions.
