Jan.26

One year ago, during the Spring Festival of 2020, instead of being immersed in the celebration, we were all concerned about one thing--the pandemic. I still remember the morning of Jan.26, a piece of shocking news that Kobe Bryant died in an air crash brought our heavy heart to the lowest point. I couldn't help crying when I watched videos about him, his smile, his wonderful performance in games, and interviews. I couldn't imagine how sad all his fans would be. For many, he's more a spiritual symbol of a generation than a basketball star. His spirit, beyond the limit of occupation and national boundaries, has brought profound influence to people across the world. Although he's not living in the world, Mamba Mentality will never die.

People always learn to cherish in loss, and become mature in pain. At this moment, when the world is suffering from the pandemic, everything is far from original normalcy. We've finally realized that we had taken so many things for granted, a hug, a handshake, a family gathering, a trip, a breath of fresh air... I think we've all had lots of reflection and introspection for the past year, which will encourage us with new appreciation.
