11月11日 練習。請將以下中文用英文表達。
街道為惡作劇的陽光弄成泥淖，殘雪上面畫著片片踐踏的痕跡。

The streets had become slushy by exposure to the prankish sun, and the thawing snow was dotted with traces of footsteps.?
解析：
1、句式處理。首先我們可以看到原文是一個整句，所以翻譯時處理成一個整句會比較忠實原文?；蛘?b>用and連接，或者用定語從句，兩種方法都可以。這兩種方法，都有同學使用，是非常好的嘗試。
2、slushy的含義是Slushy ground is covered in dirty, wet snow. 這個詞專門用來形容泥雪覆蓋的; 滿是泥雪的
例如：Here and there a drift across the road was wet and slushy.
3、exposure是暴露的意思，譯文用了一個介詞by就很準確地體現(xiàn)了陽光與泥雪之間的因果關(guān)系。
4、prankish，其含義是naughtily or annoyingly playful 惡作劇的，愛開玩笑的。近義詞有puckish ，意思是showing that you are amused by otherpeople, and like to make jokes about them淘氣的，頑皮的
夏天主編說：如果考試中我們想不出來prankish這樣級別的詞語，使用naughty也是可以的。在退一步tricky也可以被接受。
5、語態(tài)處理。注意一下“殘雪上面畫著片片踐踏的痕跡”的處理，我們看到這句是主動態(tài)，翻譯成英文時就可以選擇英文中更普遍采用的被動態(tài)！參考譯文就是這樣處理的。
6、thawing，thaw這個詞特指冰雪等融化，When ice, snow, or something else thatis frozen thaws, it melts.
7、dot，這個詞含義很多，有興趣的可以查詞典，這里采用的含義是布滿、星羅棋布于，請注意dot這個含義時，常用被動態(tài)。if an area is dotted with things, there are a lot of them there but they are spread far apart 布滿，星羅棋布于 be dotted with也是一個固定詞組
例如：The lake was dotted with sailboats.
夏天主編說：所以dot這個詞既可以體現(xiàn)“畫”又可以體現(xiàn)“片片”。像斷角梧桐老師用的spot也有類似含義，大家可以查字典進一步了解。
8、有小伙伴用了fragmentary，這個詞的含義是Something that is fragmentary is made up of small or unconnected pieces. 以及 consisting of many different small parts 。這個詞偏強調(diào)某整體的事物由許多不連續(xù)的小塊事物組成。例如a fragmentary story. 而雪上污痕由不同人各自踩出，彼此獨立，所以貌似這個詞不合適
夏天主編總結(jié)：大家可以注意一下，第一，如何用連詞或者定語從句來表達一整句話；第二，翻譯中被動態(tài)的用法；第三，今天的練習大概有些生詞與熟詞生義，可以積累起來。

The mischievous sunshine turned the streets into mire and scrawled countless footprints on the melting snow.（主編評：做的很好。很簡潔有力的風格）
不會英語的小花
The streets became muddy because of exposure to the sunshine, the traces of footsteps were left on the remaining snow.（主編評：惡作劇沒體現(xiàn)出來?！爱嫛边@個動詞也沒體現(xiàn)）
此次經(jīng)驗值：不會就直譯，必須直譯。
