The month which I watched most movies in 2016 is April as expected. I watched 25 movies in that month, almost one movie everyday. Maybe I won't have the opportunity to watch so many movies in one month any more in my life before the retirement.
April was the second month after my resignation. At the end of February of 2016 I resigned my work in Tsingdao and went back to my hometown Binzhou. It was really a reckless behavior in other people's eyes, but I felt proud of myself for that.
At the first several months, I really had a happy time and watched lots of good movies. I am that kind of person with lots of hobbies, but watching movies must be the most important one.
I have no idea when the moments with movies had been a great business to me. With the age increasing, more and more emotion couldn’t be spoken from mouth can be shown from people in movies.
You’re actually talking yourself when you’re talking about movie. It is movie that helps understand myself better.

The first movie I watched in 2016 was Chungking Express（重慶森林） directed by Kar Wai Wong（王家衛(wèi)）. Director Kar Wai Wong is always rated high by movie fans. However, his works were too artsy and obscure for me. Maybe some people think it is almost the perfect movie in their hearts, but just 3 stars was my appraisal, couldn’t be higher.
Suddenlly I realized that I really didn’t have feelings for so artsy things, although usually I boosted myself as literary and artistic.
The first full-mark was given to an classical movie Witness for the Prosecution（控方證人） 1957, which was marked 9.6 scores on the Douban web.
The movie is adapted from Agatha Christie’s（阿加莎·克里斯蒂） novel of the same name. At the base of the powerful script, the whole work fully and delightfully displays 116 minutes and impresses the audience deeply.
The famous movie critic Fuyou said :
Yuhong（《頤和園》人物） said, What is morality? Morality is lovers being together.
It’s amazing that a woman set so deliberate a trap for her lover and behaved blindness and regardlessness in love, extremely wisdom and foolish. The lines are always conflicting, the plot are circuitous, the actors and actresses are delicate from the first minute to the last one.
The first movie I marked poorest was Solace（通靈神探）. The reason I chose it was all about the actor Anthony Hopkins（安東尼·霍普金斯）, however it disappointed me. I couldn't see any impressive plot or moving act. Actually I couldn't remember what it was about now.
There's no need to mention it any more. A good actor could bring bad works too.

In 2:38 AM July 21, I marked the movie of Sense and Sensibility（理智與情感） directed by Ang Lee（李安）. I think I was just working or writing something at that time, it’s impossible for me to watch movie so late. Perhaps I just remembered to mark it before I went to bed.
Three stars I marked? I can't remember every movie so clearly. Actually now I thought it is a nice work, although not as excellent as Ang Lee’s other works. It was produced in 1995 when Ang Lee was still young.
Then, what I must mention is that the sentence on Douban’s poster is really beautiful and touching:
The whole world has been quiet, I am still GOING ON WITH MOVIES.

Last year I watched 6 movies directed by the master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock（阿爾弗雷德·希區(qū)柯克）. There was a period when I tried to seek the connection between movies and architecture on purpose. The first work I chose was Hitchcock's Rear Window（后窗）, the hero and heroine were James Stewart and Grace Kelly.
Then I finished the artical The architectual space in Rear Window. Then I watched Hitchcock's Pyscho (驚魂記)and wrote The 10 Drawings in Pyscho. Afterwards, I watched North by Northwest（西北偏北）, Vertigo（迷魂記）, Rope（奪命索）, The 39 steps（39級(jí)臺(tái)階）. Actually There were several his works in my hard drive, and I tried to finish them in free time.
Unexpectedly I watched 4 works joined by Wen Jiang. What now I can think of are Finding the Gun（尋槍）and There Came the Japanese（鬼子來了）.
Hoping that I could run across more good movies in the year of 2017.
