跟讀內(nèi)容：今天跟讀的是C12 Test3 Par2的第11句-第19句

跟讀心得日記：

1、Of course, they offer the chance to develop a new skill or talent,but clients often say that more than this,it's the chance to create lasting relationships with other like-minded people that's the main draw. （C12 Test3 Part2第12句）

隨著英語(yǔ)知識(shí)的增長(zhǎng)，我發(fā)現(xiàn)英語(yǔ)中表示除此以外，不僅如此這些意思的詞組，真得是非常多，

除了常見(jiàn)的besides， except，還有 moreover, furthermore, additionally, in addition,

以及在口語(yǔ)中經(jīng)常出席的on top of that, plus, apart from that.

還有就是今天這句當(dāng)中，直接用了 more than this,

這句話中還有一個(gè)很有用的新詞組，like-minded, 意思是志趣相同的，或者有相同愛(ài)好的，意氣相投的

2、Our painting holidays take place in four different centres in France and Italy, and they're very popular with clients of all abilities from beginners onwards.（C12 Test3 Part2第14句）

當(dāng)我們想表達(dá)某個(gè)事物在某個(gè)人群當(dāng)中受歡迎或流行的時(shí)候，最地道的介詞是with， 也就是說(shuō)sth is popular with some people.

all abilities 不是表示所有的能力，而是表示各種各樣層次水平的能力

另外就是要表示什么標(biāo)準(zhǔn)以上的時(shí)候，有兩種方式：

一種是與具體數(shù)值相關(guān)的，用above，比如表示8歲以上，就說(shuō) 8-year-olds and above;

另一種是與模糊的水平層次相關(guān)的，用onwards，比如初學(xué)者及以上，beginners onwards.

3、Apart from that you'll find the usual emphasis on good quality, organic ingredients -that's more or less a given nowadays - and there are generally some meat-free recipes included.（C12 Test3 Part2第17句）

emphasis這個(gè)詞非常特別，雖然很容易聽(tīng)到和理解這個(gè)詞，但這個(gè)詞的復(fù)數(shù)形式以及動(dòng)詞形式的書寫和發(fā)音，經(jīng)常容易混淆。

emphasis?[?emf?s?s] 是原形，單數(shù)，表示強(qiáng)調(diào)、重視，重要性等

emphases[??mf??siz]是它的復(fù)數(shù)形式

emphasize[?emf?sa?z]是動(dòng)詞形式，表示強(qiáng)調(diào)或重視這個(gè)動(dòng)作。

It's a given. 實(shí)際上是一個(gè)固定短語(yǔ)，表示理所應(yīng)當(dāng)，不用懷疑的事實(shí)等

4、Groups are small, no more than eight,so clients can have one-on-one tuition during the holiday,and excursions are arranged with fully-trained guides. （C12 Test3 Part2第19句）

跟讀這句話，才發(fā)現(xiàn)自己過(guò)去對(duì)tuition的理解太狹隘了，只知道其表示學(xué)費(fèi)的意思，其實(shí)它還有“教學(xué)、指導(dǎo)、講授”的意思。
