1.作者說sports is one of the richest fields now open to the nonfiction writer. 許多以嚴(yán)肅書籍著稱的作家都曾寫過這方面的書籍。舉了一些例子，其中一個經(jīng)典是John Updike的“Hub Fans Bid Kid Adieu,”驚訝到我了。約翰·厄普代克竟然也寫體育——我只知道他的長篇小說“兔子四部曲”，還看過幾個精彩的短篇。
