Enjoy Reading

Yesterday I read aloud an article named 'Hard Work'. A sentence impressed me so much. 'In fact, a major key to success is to learn to enjoy challenging work AND to enjoy working hard at it.' If we want to succeed, hard work is inevitable. Reading is important to my growth. But I was in a trap where I focused so much on the speed of reading.
So I gradually couldn't find much fun in reading.
I have made some adjustment since I realized my problem. I tried my best to concentrate on the understanding rather than the speed. It turned out that this method worked on me. Because though lots of words need to be checked, I enjoyed the moment when I understood what the author's intention is. I would like to devote more time to checking new words.
It took me two and a half hours to read 42 pages of The Last Lecture. I read slowly. But it doesn't matter.
