摩登家庭第一季第三集剛開始就拋出這樣的問題。三個家庭給出了不一樣的答案，準確的說是孩子處于不同時期的家庭給出了不一樣的答案.

不知道咋回答，this is a tough one。Jay早年一直忙于事業(yè)，沒有怎么陪伴孩子。

經(jīng)過劇情的推進。在和Manny的相處過程中，最后終于回答了這個問題

"the key to being a good dad? Look, sometimes things work out just the way you want. Race you to the end. That is not a good idea...for you. Sometimes they don't. You got to hang in there. Because when all is said and done 90% of being a dad-- just showing up."

關鍵詞just showing up。Jay給出的答案是陪伴。

在美吉姆課堂，Cam和另外一個媽媽聊天，對方訂購了媽媽咪呀，覺得不要梅麗爾.斯普里特演比較好。Cam回訪的時候懟了，他很欣賞梅麗爾.斯普里特。

和媽媽的角色相比，爸爸是要能一起玩，一起瘋，相對包容一些行為。這集劇情也基本展示這種情節(jié)。特別最后Cam在講到《蘇菲的選擇》女主角梅麗爾.斯普里特，Cam就特別感性，我自己沒看過這部電影，以后有機會要去看看。如果讓Cam在Mitchel和Lily之間做一個選擇，他崩潰的不知道怎么辦。
